2 tbsp butter
1/4 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c flour
2 tsp milk
1/2 finely chopped peanuts (raw not roasted)
1/2 tsp lemon juice or extract
Cream the butter, add sugar and egg until well beaten. Mix and sift baking powder, slat and flour. Add it to the butter mixture. Add milk, peanuts, and lemon juice. Drop from a teaspoon on a buttered cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in a slow oven. Whole peanuts may be placed on top of cookies before baking. Bake at 375 degrees.
