There are so many possibilities when making your own Christmas angel ornaments. Everybody has their own idea if what an angel should look like but here are instructions on how to make angel ornaments that are beautiful and they can be stored away and used for many years.
Making these ornaments yourself can be a very enjoyable experience and you get to make them exactly like you want them to appear. All of the items that you will need can be bought in a crafts store or a dollar store.
Items that you will need:
Cardboard, material, try to find some material that sparkles and shines, glue gun, pink ribbon, glue, paint in assorted colors, lace, colored beads that can be bought in the crafts store by the year, gold pipe cleaners and angel wings, they can be purchased in the crafts store also.
Cardboard can be bought at the crafts store or you can take a cardboard box and cut it apart into neat squares. Draw the body of the angel like you want it to appear then cut it out. It's sort of like making paper dolls only this time you're making angel ornaments.
Now, you've cut out the body of your angel, and now you want to paint it white and give it a delicate featured face or if you prefer no features at all. Paint both sides of the angel.
Take your gold pipe cleaner and make a halo out of it and glue it onto the back of your angel's head.
Take your material and cut it into small pieces that you can arrange onto the angel's body so that it appears that she has on a robe. Glue the lace onto the material everywhere you want it to be, the more lace your angel has on it the more beautiful she will be. Try to find the tiny, delicate lace because you are working on a small scale and it will look much nicer.
For added decoration, glue the colored beads onto the hem and neckline of the angel's robe. If you prefer you can glue the beads onto the material before you glue the material onto the angel's body.
Now, take your pink ribbon and make several little bows to glue onto the angel's robe and then use the ribbon to make a little loop at the top of the back of the angel for hanging it on your tree.
